Hi, I'm Jade.
I'm a mom of two currently living in the South Bay of Los Angeles, and lately I've been playing around with AI agents. This site is where I write down what I'm building and what I learn along the way, mostly because it's been genuinely fun and I wanted somewhere to put it.
My path here was not a straight line. I fought Muay Thai for a while. I was a ski and snowboard bum for longer than I'll admit to. Eventually I found my way into software engineering, and you can poke around my actual work history on LinkedIn if that's your thing. I'm not going to list my resume here. I'd rather tell you what I'm actually doing right now.
The house
My husband is a computer vision and space nerd, and he will light up talking about either one at any given dinner whether I asked or not. Between the two of us and two small kids who I adore (raising small humans is genuinely wild, nobody warns you enough), there is a lot going on in this house.
Most days it's some combination of snacks negotiated like treaties, a half-finished home project, and me asking Bo to take one more thing off my plate before dinner.
Why an AI agent, why now
"Fair Play" is a documentary about the invisible mental load mothers carry running a household, the constant background noise of remembering, planning, and managing that nobody sees until it's not done. I have never felt more seen by anything. I've watched multiple mom friends cry through it. If you're a parent and you haven't seen it, go watch it.
I believe a lot of that invisible work still falls on moms by default, not by choice. I've been using AI agents to try to make parenting a little easier and a lot more streamlined: automating the boring home admin, building small tools for our family, and most recently exploring homeschooling for my four year old next year and building the tools to support that too.
None of this is polished or finished. A lot of it is me figuring things out in real time with an agent named Bo. I'm sharing it because writing it down is fun, and because I'd rather be honest about the messy middle than pretend I have it all figured out.
